No trades for the Performance Coaches today. But it wasn't a day off. Danny and Hoag didn't force anything, which is important - particularly during a drawdown.
In the morning, Danny missed a setup in the 30-Year Treasury Bond ($ZBZ7) - but did not chase the price as it moved higher. The price rallied from below the 157 handle to near the 158 handle, in roughly an hour.
And Hoag entered an order to short Gold ($GCZ7) after its 10 a.m. spike to $1355.50, trying to sell a contract at $1352.50. The market was a couple ticks away three times between then and the floor close - at which point Hoag canceled his order.
Overall, markets were choppy, particularly in Crude Oil ($CLV7) and the Emini S&P 500 ($ESU7). Those products moved throughout the day, but traded in the middle of recent ranges - offering few opportunities at a 2:1 risk / reward ratio.
